• Who is eligible?

        ~One scholarship will be awarded to a student entering an accredited U.S. college fall semester as a full-time student and who will pursue a course of study leading to an associate of arts or baccalaureate degree. ​​

• What is the amount of the scholarship?

        ~The scholarship recipient will receive a one-time award of $1,000.00. The applicant must submit proof of enrollment (fall semester class schedule) to the Bainbridge High School Guidance Department Chair for payment.

What is the application timeline? 

        ~Applications Available –February 20 

          Deadline for Requesting Applications – April 5 

          Completed Application and Letters of Recommendation Due – April 15

          Selection Committee Selects Scholarship Recipients – April 16 – 25

What are the requirements for the award? 

​        ~(All must be met for consideration.) 

               2.5 or higher GPA 

               Demonstration of a commitment to the BHS cross country team. 

               Demonstration of strong character through high school career. 

               One letter of reference is required:  

               It must be from a High School Teacher who can speak to the the           character of the student. 

               Essay (described on the scholarship form) 

               Official copy of his or her high school record 

Who handles the scholarship procedures? 

​        ~All phases of the competition including selection of recipient and payment of stipends for scholarship will be overseen by the DRF1 Scholarship Committee. If the committee deems necessary, it may choose several applicants to interview. Interviewing will take place between April 16 and April 25 and the committee will select the recipient.                        ***All decisions of the committee are final.***​
